Amsprop , Lord Sugar's property company has agreed the breakthrough letting to Dover Street Market. The rental has been agreed at more than £2.5m per annum, a record retail rent for Haymarket, London.
The building sits in the heart of an area now undergoing a £500m makeover by the Crown Estate making this area increasingly more popular for luxury goods brands.
Dover Street Market, the iconic multibrand store established by Comme des Garçons bosses Adrian Joffe and Rei Kawakubo, is set to move. Currently located at 17-18 Dover Street, the store was established ten years ago as a multi-storey, multibrand space known for its innovative mix of labels and conceptual pieces. The brand will be abandoning its home, and moving into a new 33,000 sq ft space at 18-22 Haymarket, which was vacated by Burberry in 2009 and which previously housed the London brand's former flagship.
